The EU Ecolabel recognizes products that have a lower environmental impact and a lower health impact than comparable products in their category. It also pays attention to performance levels. So, what this means is that with an EU Ecolabel product, you can be sure that it's more sustainable and still absolutely performs!

Some labels are often not official, but company-owned seals. For a clear and consumer-friendly declaration, the COSMOS seal was created. It is an internationally recognized and independent seal for certified natural cosmetics. The following criteria must be fulfilled by the products in order to meet the COSMOS standard:

• Indication of the amount of natural ingredients

• Promotion of the use of products from organic farming and preservation of organic diversity

• Responsible use of natural resources  

• Respect for the environment

• Use of processing and manufacturing methods that take into account the impact on human health and the environment

Did you know that the terms "vegan" and "vegetarian" are not yet legally protected? So that you can be sure that something is really vegan or vegetarian, we have our products certified by the Vegan Trademark by the Vegan Society. The Vegan Trademark is an internationally recognized and protected trademark that identifies products as vegan.

In order for a product to be awarded the Vegan Trademark, it must not contain any animal ingredients, animal by-products or raw materials derived from animals. Also, no animal materials may be used during production and no animal testing may be performed in any production step. Here we have an article for you why our everdrop products are vegan.

Dermatest is an internationally renowned company based in Germany. They test products for their dermatological compatibility, i.e. how the skin reacts to a product.

Those clinical dermatological tests are performed to the highest standards by a testing team of dermatologists and biologists. Many of our products carry the original DERMATEST® seal and were rated "very good" in the test. The GOTS seal is probably the most recognized seal in terms of environmental criteria for textiles made from organically produced natural fibers. It gives you the assurance that all the requirements that ensure sustainable production of textiles have been met. The seal was developed to establish a globally recognized requirement for organic textiles.

It covers the manufacturing, transport and use phases of textiles, and also verifies social conditions in the supply chain. All factories in the supply chain must be certified and undergo an on-site inspection once a year in order for end products to carry the GOTS seal.

PEFC stands for "Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes". It is a transparent and independent system for ensuring sustainable forest management.

Unlike other systems on the market, PEFC is geared to local conditions and offers tailor-made solutions to promote sustainable forestry in the region. Our PEFC-certified products have been produced through sustainable forest management based on national standards.

This is a scenario comparison that we carried out for the German market. In the process, everdrop products were compared with conventional cleaning and laundry detergents, and the sustainability indicators "Saved transport emissions" and "Saved chemical raw materials" were evaluated by our products. 

TÜV Rheinland validated these comparisons in October 2022: "The comprehensibility, transparency, coherence and existing limitations of the calculations and documentation carried out by everdrop GmbH for both sustainability key figures were tested and confirmed. Specifications can be found in the audit statement (CF-2022-11-21256488)." The issued certificate can be found here.

• The verification of the sustainability key figures by TÜV Rheinland considers the following points: 
  Comprehensibility of the calculations made 

• Scientific and technical validity of the methods used 

• Sufficient appropriateness of the data used in relation to the objective of the calculations 

• Consideration of the recognized limitations and the objective of the calculations in the evaluation 

• Coherence and transparency of the documentation  
  
  We compared the savings in transport emissions of our tab and powder products compared to commercially available cleaning and care products. Since our sachets differ in weight and size, we performed the calculation for each product individually. 
  
  To calculate the chemical raw materials saved on detergents through our water hardness concept (if you enter your zip code when ordering online, our detergent will be shipped depending on your local water hardness), we compare our dosage with the average dosage recommendation of commercial powder detergents depending on water hardness (soft, medium, hard). In retail we offer our detergents without the water hardness concept, but even here we save chemical raw materials due to our compact formulation.
